Emilia Balan

Revista de Economie Mondiala / The Journal of Global Economics, 2015, vol. 7, issue 4

Abstract: This article examines the evolution of the Romanian organic farming, after the accession to the European Union and the sources of funding of this agricultural system, as stipulated in the new Common Agricultural Policy. The research method consists of a qualitative and quantitative analysis of the main indicators of organic farming obtained both from the Romanian Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development and from the data base of the European Commission (Eurostat). In addition, our research is based on studies and reports of the national and the European Union institutions, but also Romanian and foreign experts' research papers.
