Abstract:
The main objective of this paper is to highlight the setting up and functioning principles of the AIIB, the rationales of its foundation and motivations of the 57 participating countries to join China. At the same time, the authors bring to the forefront a new way identified by emerging economies to mitigate the asymmetries of international financial system: the launch of new multilateral development institutions.
