Abstract:
Given the dynamic character of FDI and the specificity of each country, a continuous analysis of FDI determinants is required. Multinational enterprises (MNEs)' decisions to invest both in Romania and world market are influenced by MNEs' market prospects and also by business environment in host countries. In this paper we analyze: (a) FDI determinants; (b) the factors influencing the MNEs' decision to invest and (c) the advantages of FDI recipient countries. In Romania as an export-oriented country, a permanent assessment of the FDI determinants is necessary in order to evaluate the country's FDI status and also to stimulate the flow of FDI by adequate economic policies.
