Abstract:
In response to the evolving trends and demands of contemporary urban development, this study introduces an innovative approach to urban waterfront residential environment layout design. By leveraging the unique characteristics of urban water features, a novel automatic design methodology is proposed. This method entails the generation of models, thermal comfort analysis, and strategic layout recommendations through the quantification of spatial fields using concentric circles or chessboard grids. Weight assignment to elements such as water and mountains, coupled with the application of computer simulation techniques and genetic algorithms, facilitates efficient and effective design outcomes. By prioritizing simulation analysis in the design process, this methodology enhances the scientific basis of environmental performance-driven design schemes, ultimately optimizing the work efficiency of designers and contributing to the creation of sustainable urban waterfront settlements.
