Abstract:
This study examines the rural tourism areas of Guizhou Province, China, utilizing factor analysis to assess the quality of the human ecological environment. A comprehensive index system with three primary and six secondary indicators was developed, revealing significant improvements in ecological conditions since 2005. While rural tourism shows potential for ecological revitalization and sustainable development, the research identifies challenges such as inconsistent service quality and limited stakeholder awareness of eco-environmental indicators. The study advocates for integrating ecological and socio-economic dimensions into tourism strategies and emphasizes the importance of community engagement in planning processes. Overall, the findings provide actionable insights for policymakers and tourism developers to balance economic growth with ecological preservation, promoting a sustainable rural tourism sector.
