The Use of Digital Social Media in Agriculture

Abstract: This article provides a literature review of 21 articles, published since 2015, which analyse the use of digital social media for agriculture. Our study identified the types of agriculture analysed, the technologies used, the countries concerned, and the themes discussed. This literature review offers an overview of the studies on the use of social media in agriculture, as well as the different actors who mobilize these tools. It gives the reader an idea of the different types of social media analysis that are being carried out in this field. We describe the approach we followed for our bibliographical research, and organize the articles into several main themes. We also draw a parallel with another study in the field of preventive medicine that we previously carried out.
