Abstract: This article explores the intersection of social responsibility and environmental protection within the agricultural sector, highlighting the challenges and advancements faced by enterprises in China. It examines the evolution of environmental protection policies since the implementation of the new Environmental Protection Law in 2015, and assesses how these regulations have impacted agricultural enterprises. The discussion focuses on the integration of environmental protection into corporate strategies, emphasizing the need for technological innovation, alignment with international standards, and the cultivation of environmental awareness among staff. Key findings reveal that while many enterprises have made significant strides in addressing environmental issues, challenges persist, particularly for older industries and those impacted by market downturns. The article concludes with recommendations for improving competitiveness through clean production methods, increased use of clean energy, and enhanced government support and supervision.
