Abstract:
Organizations need to leverage groundbreaking technological advances like cloud computing to enhance business processes and operations, reduce costs, increase efficiency, and maintain continuity. Cloud storage enables businesses to have their data and services available anywhere, anytime, and on any device. This is essential in the optimization of space, power consumption, and cost reduction. However, various researchers and businesses have looked at cloud computing from a technological perspective, paying little attention to its business financial benefits. This study reports on the determinants of cloud migration to enhance the financial perspectives of an organization. The results indicated that organizational structures, financial factors, and individual factors are core for the migration of services to the cloud. The study contributes to management by identifying those factors that need to be paid attention to if organizations are to realize business and financial benefits from cloud migration.
