Abstract: With the advancement of artificial intelligence and application algorithms, related emerging technologies are gradually being applied in various industries, and the application of the Internet and mobile payment technology has greatly impacted traditional retail enterprises. The combination of traditional industries and the digital economy can more effectively promote innovation in business models and improve business efficiency to cope with the impact of new market models. The evaluation of digital transformation effectiveness in retail enterprises can be achieved through MAGDM. To address the uncertainties involved, the MAGDM incorporates the EDAS and CRITIC approaches. In this study, we propose the spherical fuzzy number EDAS (SFN-EDAS) for MAGDM, utilizing the Hamming distance and Logarithmic distance measures. Additionally, we introduce the CRITIC approach to determine weight numbers in conjunction with Spherical Fuzzy Numbers (SFNs). The SFN-EDAS is then applied to evaluate the effectiveness of digital transformation in retail enterprises, providing evidence of its efficacy.
