Abstract: This study examines how an individual's knowledge characteristics influence their behavior when they are aware of the existence of potential security threats. Considering terror management theory, the development of fear that further leads to avoidance behavior was tested. To study the factors moderating the mentioned relationship, this research incorporates the knowledge management view to explore the influence of knowledge tacitness and help-seeking on the fear-avoidance connection. This study analyzed data collected from a questionnaire to examine the considered associations among the tested factors. The results confirmed the threat-fear-avoidance relationship. Additionally, the results also examined the moderating role of help-seeking and the driving force of knowledge.
