Abstract: The right implementation and design of Electronic Medical Records Systems present an opportunity of improvement, since they provide the owners of personal data, who are under treatment in medical care activities, with the exercise of control over them; avoidance of any change; loss or non-authorised access, as well as availability safeguarding, and use in activities that are not strictly within welfare.
