Abstract:
Teachers' information-based teaching ability has emerged as a pivotal factor in driving the digital transformation of education, particularly in computer science and modern pedagogical approaches. Grounded in the Quality Matters (QM) online course quality standards, this study developed a comprehensive index system for evaluating teachers' information-based teaching competencies using advanced methods such as factor analysis, index extraction, and divergence analysis. The findings reveal that the evaluation ability of information-based teaching has a positive impact on the design ability of information-based teaching objectives, the provision ability of information-based teaching resources, the organization ability of information-based teaching activities, and the guidance ability of information-based teaching, and the path coefficients are 0.86, 0.60, 0.36, and 0.45, respectively. Teachers' platform resource integration ability has a positive impact on information-based teaching evaluation ability, information-based teaching tool application ability, and information-based teaching activity organization ability, and the path coefficients are 0.45, 0.71, and 0.39, respectively; Teachers' organization ability of information-based teaching activities has a positive impact on information-based teaching guidance ability, and the path coefficient is 0.39. The ability of teachers to use information-based teaching tools has a positive impact on the organization ability of information-based teaching activities, and the path coefficient is 0.25. The ability to provide information teaching resources and the ability to apply information teaching tools have a positive impact on each other, and the path coefficients are 0.43 and 0.49, respectively. These seven dimensions have constructed the model of teachers' online teaching ability, and proposed the ways to improve teachers' online teaching ability based on the current situation of teachers' online teaching ability.
