Abstract: William King is University Professor in the Katz Graduate School of Business at the University of Pittsburgh. He is the author of more than a dozen books and 150 technical papers that have appeared in many leading journals in the field of management science, information systems, and strategic planning. Dr. King received the prestigious McKinsey Foundation Award for “outstanding contribution to management literature” for his co-authored book, Systems Analysis and Project Management. He has served as President of the institute of Management Sciences (TIMS) and as Senior Editor of MIS Quarterly.
