Abstract: This paper investigates the household energy demand function using data of South Korean economy. The structural time series model is applied for empirical analysis. Our results indicate that a rise in household income increases energy demand but energy prices lower it. This study opens up new directions policy makers to articulate a comprehensive policy for countrolling household energy demand in South Korea.
