Relation between Disparity of Income and Health Validation Empirical Case of the Countries of the Northern Banks and the South of the Mediterranean Sea

Abstract:
During these last years, numerous economists raised the problem of the existence of a relation between disparity of income and health. They examined in empirical studies and began to propose applications of politics. However, numerous ambiguities persist and, consequently, nobody knows how this relation really works. In this context, it will limit to study on what is known this day, the relation between disparity of income and health and offer of the suggestions as for the way of producing more health. The purpose of this article is to analyze the relationship between the variable disparity of the income proxy by indication of Theil and improvement of the state of the health proxy by the variable life expectancy, by employing econometric techniques, given by panel during period 1990-2012. Our sample consists of a group of 10 countries of the north and south bank of Mediterranean north and south Mediterranean, of the bank, worth knowing Tunisia, Algeria, Morocco, Libya, Egypt, Franc, Italy, Greece, Spain, and Slovenia. The results confirm the proof of a significant and positive relation between the disparity of income and the improvement of the health of the individual in the countries of the north bank of the Mediterranean Sea and a significant but negative relation in the countries of the southern shore of the Mediterranean.The present study opens new directions for policy makers.
