Ajuste y proyección de las tablas input-output en condiciones de coherencia estructural mediante optimización matemática

Miguel Angel Tarancon ()

Revista de Analisis Economico – Economic Analysis Review, 2003, vol. 18, issue 2, 67-95

Abstract: This paper develops an adjustment and projection method for input-output tables based on mathematical programming techniques. One of its main advantages is the flexibility and ability to include information relative to the elements of the table. The information considered in the adjustment technique stems from the hypothesis that there is a stable evolution of the productive structure of the economy. This leads to the inclusion of variability margins for the technical coefficients. In order to test the accuracy of this method, the paper undertakes a projection of input-output tables for Spain in the 1995-1998 period.
