Abstract:
This paper describes the development of an energy audit procedure which identifies relatively high energy consumers within specific energy consumer groups. The method is approximate, but practicable. The authors admit to the likelihood of both Type 1 and 2 errors, but show how such errors are resolved. The method has been adopted by Utah's State Energy Office as part of their energy auditing program.
