Abstract:
This paper describes an application of quantitative decision-making tools such as regression analysis, managerial probability assessment, and decision theory to a problem of chemical discarding at the Chrysler Defense Inc. Scranton Defense Plant. The implementation of the policy recommended in this analysis has resulted in significant dollar savings, as well as social benefits.
