Management Science Process---Phases or Components?

Robert J. Graham

Interfaces, 1982, vol. 12, issue 1, 61-65

Abstract: I am convinced that the success of OR/MS depends heavily on the appropriate structure and management of the OR/MS process, much more so than on the elegance of the algorithms applied or the availability of standard computer programs. I therefore believe that much more research should be carried out in connection with the OR/MS process, and much more emphasis should be put on the OR/MS process in the curricula of our field.
