Abstract: In an unusual application of management science techniques a facilities location project was undertaken in Spain to determine where to build a church camp. This represented a multicriteria problem involving population, numbers of churches, and distance. A simulation approach was used to evaluate various regions throughout the country as to their suitability for the camp, taking into consideration the location of other camps already started.
