Abstract: The real author wrote this paper under the pseudonym Jean-Baptiste Leon Say.The industrial engineer (IE) was going to carry out a work study in a company that provided services to the transportation industry. The company was happy with its employees, but expected an increase in business over the next few years, and wanted to know the extent to which this would require an increase in personnel.
