Abstract:
In honor of its 30th anniversary, TIMS history is reviewed in terms of four major issues: (1) the nature and emphasis of work in the management sciences, (2) the growth and development of TIMS as an organization, (3) the international character of TIMS, and (4) the relationship between TIMS and ORSA. The purpose is to examine TIMS's history as prologue to its future.
