Abstract:
When managers say they want simple models, they often mean that they want interface facilities that make it easy to build and solve complex models. Such an “easy-to-use” interface system (DATA-1) was designed for use with production-distribution network models. As an example, a large-scale production-distribution strategy study conducted by Glidden Coatings and Resins using DATA-1 is described.
