Abstract:
A major reason given for model failure or poor utility is the lack of proper documentation. Four manuals should be produced for large-scale computer-based models---the analyst's, user's, programmer's and manager's manuals. They represent the coalescing of information contained in other documents generated during the phases of a model's life cycle.
