Abstract:
A unique computer program aids in producing superior specimens of Melopsittacus Undulatus---a parakeet native to Australia. The activity of breeding and exhibiting livestock has a worldwide following, but before this program the mating decision was largely intuitive. The program formalizes that decision for one category of small livestock, the budgerigar. It has been working successfully for over three years and has attracted worldwide attention from those interested in breeding and exhibiting this extraordinary member of the parrot family.
