Abstract: Ethicon Incorporated, a member of the Johnson & Johnson family of companies, is the world's largest manufacturer of wound closure products. It produces over 3,000 regular products and 3,000 specialty products for surgeons ranging from catgut suture material attached to finely honed surgical needles to internal and external stapling devices.The Management Science Department (now called End-User Services) reports to the director of Management Information Services (MIS) who, in turn, reports to the vice-president of finance. The mission of the department is to provide management consulting support and training to all divisions of Ethicon.
