Abstract:
Japan’s fifth generation computer systems for the 1990s and the associated subjects of logic programming, expert systems, and the programming language Prolog have received much publicity lately. The background to these subjects is summarized, followed by a minitutorial in Prolog, a language relevant and potentially useful for MS/OR.
