Abstract:
The talk these days at TIMS/ORSA is of outreach, of devising a way to inform the world how central we are to its functioning. TIMS has backed its commitment to reaching out with a large financial investment. Trying as always to be helpful, let me propose a simple project that might measurably advance this cause. It concerns frequent-flyer programs. We should not underrate the obsessions these programs have created among those we would most like to influence.
