Abstract:
Dr. Kavrakoğlu and his colleagues presented one of the finalist papers in the Edelman Prize competition for their part in repairing the foundation of the Turkish housing industry (see Interfaces , Vol. 17, No. 5, September--October 1987, pp. 1--10). How do you go about fixing an entire industry about which you know very little? ... It is now five years later. Have the owners been maintaining it? Or is it a “fixer-upper” again?---Robert G. Chamberlain
