Abstract:
We are anxious to organize Student Chapters of TIMS on every campus where we can attract enough students and faculty advisors to make such chapter activities viable, useful, and interesting. Possibly even joint chapters could be formed by two or three schools in the same area.We are in the process of organizing panels of chief executives and senior operating officers of a number of the country's leading industrial, commercial, and financial corporations, nonprofit research firms, and major governmental agencies to lead seminars discussing how they actually use management sciences, what they really do, and what they foresee in terms of future functions as prospects for the students should they decide to enter industry.
