Abstract:
The first MS/OR course taken by an MBA student is critical in shaping the student's view of the field. While a debate now rages over what course content should be, little is known about current course content. I surveyed executive MBA programs to determine course titles, topics, use of computers, use of case studies, and course objectives. I found that current practice departs considerably from the recommendations of the TIMS education committee.
