Abstract: For the San Francisco meeting Saul Gass organized two sessions to commemorate the 40th anniversary of ORSA. Each of the speakers has made important contributions to management science and operations research. I thought that you would be interested in what the participants had to say. I asked Saul to see if they would be interested in writing up their talks. These papers are the result. They are organized in the order of their presentation at the conference.
