Operations Analysis in the Army Air Forces in World War II: Some Reminiscences
Hugh J. Miser
Interfaces, 1993, vol. 23, issue 5, 47-49
Abstract:
The literature describing operations research during World War II, the context in which OR began, is both varied and scattered. In his three papers [1987a, 1987b, 1987c], McCloskey offers an overview of wartime OR for both the United Kingdom and the United States, based conscientiously on the literature available in 1987, supplemented by a number of interviews.
