Abstract:
This theme issue of Interfaces focuses on the intersection of two neighboring disciplines: operations research and finance. There are a number of close connections between these areas. The topics discussed in this issue are broken into four main areas: (1) Developing Comprehensive Approaches for Evaluating and Controlling Individual and Organizational Risks, (2) Design of Decision Support Systems, (3) Exploration of the Frontiers of Economics: The Area of Security Anomalies, and (4) The Creation of New Instruments.
