Abstract: In the May–June 1996 issue of Interfaces , Jacobs, Silan, and Clemson present an analysis of alternative locations and service areas of American Red Cross blood facilities. The authors develop two integer-programming models. Both the models, as described, are erroneous. Counterexamples are given.
