Abstract:
The past four articles of this series have addressed the problem of successful implementation of management science studies. We have concentrated on the project team's method of organization for achieving management cooperation and participation in the studies (obtaining, therefore, the all-important element of personal involvement). We have mentioned also as a precondition to management participation the need for the education of operational management in management science concepts and techniques and their usefulness in critical decision problems. It is on this latter ingredient in the successful application of management science that this article will concentrate.
