Abstract:
In this series of articles we have assumed technical expertise, a professional approach, and applications experience. But unfortunately, we know only too well that these alone will not secure the benefits for management that management science is truly capable of. Added to these must be the ability to sell management science to management. We in the management science field have long since learned that building the better mousetrap is not enough; we cannot assume that management will beat a path to our door; we must be prepared to sell our wares to management.
