Abstract: The following articles review the ever-growing literature that demonstrates how senior executive compensation practices remain disconnected from relevant empirical literature. The problem is that management is still not an evidence-based profession, and there are few sanctions for either consultants or senior executives who ignore scientific knowledge in their decision making.
