Abstract:
Decision making is not only the province of operations research, management science, or decision science, but is something that everyone is interested in. Our profession simply claims that large scale decisions are better made by experts, or that experts can aid the common man in making such decisions. But for each of us, professional or layman, we have a lot to learn from Star Trek as a model for decision making. So let us turn our attention to this paradigm of problem-solving.
