Abstract:
My purpose is advocacy. I advocate deep involvement of Management Scientists and Operations Researchers in the information systems activity. It is the thesis of this paper that Management Science can magnify the productivity of Management Information Systems, and that it can make major contributions to decisions which are totally outside the purview of such systems.
