Abstract:
This issue of Interfaces is the fifth Special Issue with focus on the practice of Management Science/Operations Research. The papers in this volume are continuing contribution to the evidence that Management Science/Operations Research is a very viable, useful profession having considerable impact on modern managerial decision making. These papers are the prize winners of the Annual Prize Competition held by the College on the Practice of Management Science at New York, May 1978.
