ORGANIZATIONAL RESILIENCE TO WEATHER EXTREMES

Agnieszka Leszczynska

Economy & Business Journal, 2017, vol. 11, issue 1, 243-252

Abstract: The resilience of an organization determines its ability to withstand, quickly counter, and remedy the consequences of sudden events that threaten the continuity of its operations. Given the increasing prevalence of extreme weather conditions, the article analyses the problem of organizational resistance to this type of perturbances. The particular components of resilience are presented along with the elements conditioning its overall level and a weather extreme resistance matrix.
