Abstract:
The child protection system should promote, protect and fulfil the rights of all children. Thus, it is utmost important that the authorities are able to provide qualitative, coherent and sustainable social services in order to prevent and minimise abuse, neglect, exploitation and violence against children. In this context, the right-based approach is applied to analyse the child protection system in the Republic of Moldova. An overview of legal and institution framework as well as the financing of the protection system is presented. Additionally, the protection of children’s rights and the implementation of Strategy for child protection for the years 2014-2020 are analysed.
