THE IMPORTANCE OF THE IMPLEMENTATION OF SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT FOR THE COMPETITIVE POSITION OF A NATIONAL ECONOMY ON THE EXAMPLE OF POLAND

Katarzyna B. Czech

Economy & Business Journal, 2014, vol. 8, issue 1, 378-388

Abstract: The competitive position of a national economy remains one of the factors influencing its perception in the global economy. The implementation of the sustainable development (SD) concept seems to be one of the essential factors conducive to an improvement of its competitive position. This is particularly important in the case of such an economy as Poland, where the implementation of the social, environmental and economic aspects of SD guarantees progress, which is crucial for the growth of the national economy.
