Abstract:
In the present paper the characteristics of the relationship between indexes of economic development and energy efficiency in throughout the country and separate regions is described. The key role in increasing the energy efficiency and economic growth is given to the modernization of electrical grid infrastructure in the southern Russian. The priority guide lines of strategic development of the electrical grid infrastructure in the southern of Russia are argued in favor of introduction of SMART GRID technologies and improvement of the electricity transportation management on the basis of RAB rate policy and energy supply quality incentive.
