ORGANIZATION OF PUBLIC TRANSPORT IN THE CITY AS THE MAIN TASK OF URBAN LOGISTICS - INFRASTRUCTURE REGIONAL BACKGROUND IN POLAND

Abstract:
The high tempo of urbanization results in a dynamic development of cities. Urban logistics deals with the flow of materials, people and information within a city, and transport is one of its elements. The aim of this article is to pint out the problems connected with the state and the use of public transport infrastructure in cities, and to identify the factors which influence the regional development in terms of urban transport in Poland. The data for the years 2012-2013 were analyzed in relation to individual Polish voivodships (provinces). For this purpose the factor analysis was used.
