Entrepreneurship Education in Delta State Tertiary Institution as a Means of Achieving National Growth and Development

Abstract: This study examined entrepreneurship education in Delta Sate tertiary institutions  as a means of national growth and development. Two research questions were asked to guide the study. The population comprised all the 1,898 academic staff in eight tertiary institutions in the state. A sample of 800 lecturers was drawn through the multi stage and stratified random sampling techniques. The instrument used was the questionnaire. Data collected from the respondents were analyzed using descriptive statistics of means and standard deviation. Results revealed that most of the respondents agreed that entrepreneurship education is beneficial to national development despite its challenges in tertiary institutions. In the light of the findings, recommendations were made.
