THE PLACE AND PROFILE ANALYSIS OF WOMEN MANAGERS IN BANKING TOP MANAGEMENTS

Abstract:
Women in society, in politics and in economic life changed because of their position in the banking sector in Turkey is still important place of women workers. In this study, Turkey's private and public employees place the highest number of employees of foreign owned banks, and women were examined. The ratio of senior female executives in banks was determined and the educational experience and institutional experiences of female managers were examined. In the study, it is seen that female employees in banking are more than male employees. The number of women employees is higher in private and foreign banks. It is seen that the number of women working in the top management is low. The duties of women who take charge in senior management are mostly Treasury, Corporate Banking and Human Resources. Female managers are mostly graduates of Middle East Technical University and Bogazici University. It is seen that the average work experience of women managers is twenty four years and the average term of office within their institution is fifteen years.
