Abstract:
Social Enterprise is the organization that applies business methods and practices to create benefits to the society. This paper finds the problems encountered by Social Enterprise and its benefits to the society, the impact of the Social Enterprise programs and activities, also the influence of the stakeholders to social enterprises. This paper also discusses the Accessibility and Accountability of Social Enterprises. The Netherland Case is used as a basis for the discussion of accountability. Result shows that stakeholders need information concerning the effeciency and effectiveness of Social Enterprises activities, though empirically it is not possible for all stakeholders to have direct access to a Social Enterprise’s complete information. Accountability and Accessibility are empirically influenced by organization Reputation and Legitimacy. It is found that, the better the social or impact value achieved, the stronger the legitimacy and reputation. The more compliance with regulation and guidelines, the less the oversight and scandals, in turn, increases the stakeholders’ trust.
