Möglichkeiten und Grenzen eines Beschäftigungspaktes / Potentials and Limits of an Alliance for Jobs

Fritz Helmedag

Journal of Economics and Statistics (Jahrbuecher fuer Nationaloekonomie und Statistik), 2005, vol. 225, issue 2, 151-162

Abstract: Proceeding from the optimal outcome for a monopolistic trade union, the question is raised how a contract to the mutual benefit of employer and employees has to look like. The margins for an improvement for workers as well as entrepreneurs are traced out. Furthermore, a proposal of ‘fair’ wages is presented in order to inquire whether this concept, properly applied, may help to overcome labour market problems.
